Nathan and Lexi's Wedding

Ah!! This wedding was so beautiful! Lexi looked absolutely amazing!  What a beautiful bride with the love of her life.  It was fun to be involved in all the decorating and cuteness that was involved.  I secretly was glad I only have 1 girl because it might be a doozy!!  A good one that is!

Crazy Week at School

All year my kids (especially Olivia) talk about how they want their hair on Crazy Hair Day.  This is how it turned out this year!  Coy wanted to join in on the fun.
Crazy sock day! This is about as crazy as Cohen and Olivia want to be!  I attempted to make it more crazy but what they want is exactly what they got!!  Love these crazies!

Canning Asparagus

Jeremy is so great to want to order extra food like asparagus and figure out a way to preserve it.  I am not so great but I love it.  He was teaching the kids the importance of why we can food.  Cohen suggested that it was because maybe if there was no other food on Earth that we might like asparagus.  haha  That just might be true.

Labor Day Cabin Weekend

I am so sad I didn't take more pictures this weekend. My kids look forward to it every year.  Not all the cousins got down for it but we still got our Lyman fun.  Coy spent a lot of time swinging in this swing.  So did I, but I just get nauseous. When did I become too sensitive for a swing??  Sad day.
Livvy found a mud hole.  Yup.  She found it.  She also found a critter.  Is it a horny toad?

It is tradition that Grandma and Grandpa give a Sunday lesson on Sunday morning.  This year was no exception.  Grandma made a poster up off all the things we needed to go to Heaven and what we had to do to get there so we could live together with our families.  Each of us were given paper and pens to write things.  Livvy had us put Curtis's name on the board.  Some of the answers included: Prayers, go to church, get baptized, be an example, be kind, hold the priesthood, be sealed in the temple, do callings, and love.

For not taking so many pictures, I am sure glad I got a good pic of Bailor, Jeremy and Kristi's dog.
My Cohen, not feeling so good.  So much dust and animals at the cabin it kind of gets to him.  We had plenty of legos to keep him occupied.
My kids always crave Logan's his attention.  He is such a sweetheart dividing his time to make everyone happy.  The most loveable boy you could ever have in a room.  My Mason perfectly happy with his snacks and a binky!  What more could you want?!?!

Livvy Fall Soccer

I never put Olivia in sports. Not that I had anything against it.  She always did dance and I don't really do the sports thing, so when she decided she wanted to play I signed her up.  She has done a couple soccer camps so she knew the basics.  She did great and it was fun to watch her play.  I don't think she LOVED it but she definitely had a great time.

Her bestie Averie was on her team and she had a great coach, Kate Palmer.  I think all the kids had a lot of fun this year!  But man it was HOT!!

Cohen Fall Soccer

There is something about soccer that I just love! Cohen did better this year than any other, but still isn't loving it.  He liked to be goalie most of all cause he could just chill.  I think it is hard to find something that your child just loves.  When Cohen came to earth, I had expectations of what I wanted him to love and be good at.  Well, I am learning it doesn't always go that way.  It isn't about forcing him to play a sport if he doesn't love it.  It's good to feel a part of something and to be a team player.  This I know, but maybe for this little red head we need to find some other team that makes him light up and get his smiley eyes.  It just might not be soccer.  Love this kid for not quitting and having a good attitude about playing till the season was done.

School Begins

It's here! Here are my 1st and 3rd graders!!  The summer was too short!  We had a lot of fun and vacation is never long enough!  I sure miss these helpers during the day!

Cohen has a great class with lots of friends with Mrs. Ashley Lacy.
Olivia gets to have Mrs. Brewer for her teacher in 3rd grade.  She had Mrs. Brewer in 1st grade and she did so awesome in her class!  We love her and Livvy really excels in her class.
A week after the older ones started school, Coy got to start pre-school!  He is so stinking cute!  He is in Mrs. Melissa's class.

Fair Week 2013

This week is always such a sad/happy week. We get to say goodbye to the pigs (sad) and we get to say goodbye to those pigs (happy)! Jeremy had to work, so I was so lucky that Jed and Candice helped me so much!  Livvy named her pig Cochon.  Cochon is French for pig. (Even while writing this post, Olivia came over and said how much she missed Cochon.  She has the most loving heart for animals.)

McCoy and Mason were great supporters. Coy found lots of freedom as I handed him a dollar to go get a snow cone.  When I ran out of dollars, he knew that Grandpa had dollars.  Ha! He also spent a lot of time at the bounce houses.  That's the good thing about a small town and the fair.  Within 5 minutes I can locate that boy!

This year in particular, pigs were smaller than in the past.  Not sure why, but some of our pigs didn't make weight.  That is always disappointing.  There are many things that the judges look at when judging pigs.  I am not sure what they are. :)  I hear they change from judge to judge.  But we do it for fun, so whatever ranking they get is the order in which the kids sell their pigs.  Cohen's pig got into Star Class.  But I can't remember overall what Cohen got.  Dang.  But pretty good.  Livvy's pig limped (according to her, Cochon fell in a hole when we first started walking her) so the judges didn't give her pig a good rank. She was pretty disappointed when she got let out to the ring.  On the other hand, Cohen pushed his pig to the side of the ring where I was standing and asked if he could just be done and go out.  Oh boy.  I told him no, (very calmly) and told him to go follow the judge around and for goodness sakes smile and act like he loves it!!

Stacy and Palmer were big supporters of team Lyman and team Redd!  Stinking cute.
Camryn with her awesome steer!  All the cousins named their cows after pig meat.  Camryn's name was,  ya, I can't remember.  If someone reads this who knows, will you tell me?? Rump Roast?

This little guy spent a lot of time wobbling around with the stick whacking people as they came by.  Good thing he was cute.

I seriously kick myself for not recording Cohen going in to the bidding ring.  He was the cutest thing ever.  He was super smiley and apparently he thought I told him to wave the whole time in the ring.  So that's what he did!  He WAVED in the ring to everyone the entire time! I was dying laughing!! The more the crowd laughed the more he ate it up.  It was so great.  Even the auctioneer started laughing and it broke up his chain of bidding!  How could they not bid that little guy up!

Later Livvy came into the ring.  She was darling.  She was more nervous than Cohen but still did great.  One of the Cowboys told every little kid that if they sat on their pig, he would give them $5.  NONE of the kids did it.  Little did he know, that Livvy was a pro at jumping on her pig.  So after she got over her nervousness, she hopped on and was presented with her $5.  He didn't think she would do it.  He doesn't know Livvy.  I was so proud of her!

After a long week we were ready to go home and get ready for school starting next week.
