Coy's Bye Bye Binky

When there is too much of this....(Throwing fits cause I don't give Coy his binky when he wants it.)
And this....
And this....  (his blanket and binky are above him on the ladder and he tried to climb it to get them and I said no.)
We do this...  A BYE BYE Binky Party!!!!

We stocked up on balloons.... yellow is Coy's favorite color.
He had a few couple last sucks....

Then up...up...up...they went!  To another little boy who needs them.

What's a party without a big boy gift?

 ...and some yummy yellow cupcakes!
Coy is getting bigger and bigger everyday.  I hate it!
So you ask...How am I doing without the bink?  It was a hard first night for me worrying he would wake up any moment.  But he didn't!  He slept straight through the night!!  He didn't ask once for it.  Night 2 was a little rough.  He woke up 3 times and I had to sing him back to sleep.  Night 3 he asked if I could buy him another one.  I said no and he's been fine since.  WAY TO GO BIG BOY!!!

A Very Merry BUSY Day (Part 2)!

After wishing Jeremy's family a Merry Christmas we headed up to Holly's house in Castle Dale!  Holly was running around getting her home nice and cozy for the family and she did an amazing job.  Her home was absolutely gorgeous outside and in. She was the perfect hostess and made sure everyone was well and happy. She made a beautiful and YUMMY Christmas dinner.  We had a great time.  Holly even sang songs with the little people. Jaren and Holly are the cutest couple.

Lily and Kingston were nice enough to let the kids share in their Christmas toys.  Lily is such a ham.  She says the cutest things but feisty all at the same time.
Benita and Scott got slammed with the flu.  Man it's been a rough week.  Scott cleaned her throw-up and all and if that isn't love, I don't know what is!
They day after Christmas we all went to take a look at Holly's farm.  The houses behind her are anciently old and belonged to Jaren's greats.  One was a post office and the other a house.  It is crazy to see how people lived without a hair straightener let alone electricity!!

Olivia just hopped into the pasture where the horses were and thought all is well.  She is a little more daring than I want her to be.  They were huge Clydesdale horses!!  We saw Blank Angus Cows, a yellow fox, horses and Zebras on our tour.  Yes, Zebras.  If anyone is looking to buy one their is a farm in Castle Dale.
Lily braved feeding the horses.
This is Scott re-thinking the whole city Phoenix thing and trading his Penny Loafers for Cowboy boots.
Being Sick and exhausted we all parted ways to go home.  Thank you Holly for a fabulous time in your amazing home.  As always B, it's been fun and we are loving Scott to pieces.  Thanks for sharing your holidays with me.

A Very Merry BUSY Day (Part 1)!

YAY!! Christmas Came!!  Jeremy woke us up at 6 a.m. so we would have time to open gifts and be ready by 9 a.m. church.  Livvy pretty much rolled over and mumbled something like - wake me up when Mom gets up.  Cohen was a little out of it but as soon as he realized it was Christmas his face lit up!

Jeremy read the Christmas Story from the bible and off we went to open gifts!

This year Coy believed in Santa more than any of my others.  Cohen was just glad he didn't get coal.  If at the mention that Coy would be on the naughty list he shaped up.  It worked like a charm!!  He got really upset when the kids teased him that he was on the naughty list.  He always looked for the elf that visited us during Christmas and was good around her.  (This year her name was Snowflake.)
The kids dug into their stockings first and Coy didn't understand that he got more than one thing in it.  But once he realized it he just kept asking for more!

Scott was super happy about getting up with us. :)  He was a trooper and spent all weekend with us.  I am sure that is hard to miss out on your own family traditions.  We look forward to many more mornings like this!!  RIGHT, SCOTT????

Cohen was so busy running around I couldn't get any pictures of him!!  He was super excited and loves Ice Age and collected all the beenie critters from the movie.  This was the only one he was missing and Santa brought it.  Life is good.
Santa made it for Scott and Beni too.
Despite Olivia's constant request for a horse, she didn't get one...But she did get mini horses to keep her busy!
It was a HAPPY Day when Coy opened his Mickey Mouse Clubhouse toy that he has been asking for since Nov!
He hurried but made it to church with all Jeremy's family.  It was nice to be altogether. After church we went to Candice house for late breakfast and open Grandma and Grandpa gifts.  They left us a bunch of clues to figure out what our Christmas gift will be.

Clue #1
 Clue #2  A walking stick
 Clue #3
 Clue #4

We are staying in a great cabin with all the amenities!  It will be sooo much fun and I can't wait!

Sledding

It hasn't been the snowiest of years but we decided to go sledding anyways.  Cohen opted out early (my city boy) but the rest had fun.

Heather, "Scout do you want a turn?"  Scout, "No, I hate it."

Benita and Scott back at the wheel.  Benita might be a little more paranoid than me.  Just sayin'.

Parties

Olivia and Averie had a performance at school and did a great job memorizing their lines and speaking clearly.  Aves was an angel and Olivia was an elephant.  I made Olivia wear her Christmas skirt that Bran and I made a month ago.  I think she is sick of it but I love it! :)
Christmas Eve party with the Haliday side of the family is getting bigger!  The kids made sticker stables to keep them occupied for the $5 gift exchange.
Coy was one of the first and Steph picked him out a present and it was ALL candy.  (She knows I HATE candy and I HATE my kids eating it even more.) I secretly threw all the candy away but left a few.  A mom's gotta do what a mom's gotta do.
Candice got a knitted beard. :)
After the party Grandma got the kids attention, which was no small task and handed out a gift of P.J.'s to all the kids to wear that night. She also gave them new games and puzzles to play with her.  The most favorite gift of all was.........

A new turtle!  The debate is on as to what to call him.  I think some of the choices were: Rocky, Lightning, Speedy, and Spiky
