Everyone has their first crush, but Olivia was not expecting hers and notes upon notes started showing up at our house. She actually shed so many tears. She just wanted him to stop liking her! After all she was too young to like someone! haha. This girl cracks me up and I hope she stays that way forever. I finally convinced her to talk face to face after I drove home and saw Conner walking away from our house with a "no response" from Olivia. He had his head down and was walking his bike slowly back to his house. I felt bad for him and stopped and told him Livvy would respond soon. So Olivia got all her courage up and went out to meet him. She told him she was too young and she liked him as a friend and didn't want to date until she was 16. He accepted her answer, but a few hour later he came back said he wanted to date her now. (Really??? They are 9!!) Anyway, later that year Conner's mom told me that she had broken his heart. Um, so, I tried to feel bad about it but I didn't. I can wait a long long time before she needs to date no matter how many hearts she breaks in the meantime.

Theater Camp
Livvy and Cohen were so excited to go to Theater Camp. It lasted a week for a few hours a day and they had so much fun. Each of them practiced their lines all week and performed for their parents Friday night.

Blanding Fun!
I pretty much love it when Benita and I get to play together. Her first baby and my last baby will be best friends and they don't even know it yet. Benita has been like a mom to all my kids and now she has some of her own. It makes me happy to see what a good mom she is. She reminds me to just be easy. Nothing is too big a deal when Benita is around.

Missing friends
It really is so much fun to go North because I love staying with Noelle. She makes fun seem so easy. I invited my friends over and she made Hawaiian Lava Flows and we all watched a movie. It's always a party with Noelle. The next day we all hit the movie theater with friends before we headed home. I miss all these little peeps.
These 4 might be married someday. I think I am going to like it.

Independence Day!!!
Did you say Carrie Underwood? Done. It was a change of pace to head North and go to the Stadium of Fire Freedom Festival in Provo. Olivia is really getting into music and she loves Carrie Underwood. We had a great time. We did the things that I remember doing growing up.
Mason loved the plane ride and train ride. We stood there for an hour watching him go round and round. (Oh, man)
Benita went with us to the Stadium of Fire. Except she was smart enough to get a sitter. I had some tired, ornery little peeps by the time we walked back to our car. We ate at Tucanos and it did not disappoint!

The tiny spec of a singer made us very happy! She was fabulous!!

Utah County Birthday Party For Luke ONE1
It is hard living away from all our sisters. So when Benita's baby, Luke turned ONE, she ventured to Utah to celebrate. All the cousins got to play and we got some good sister time. My kids loved Chuck E Cheese's and couldn't believe that a place like this existed. That's what you get when they grow up in a small town!
Cohen got pretty good at getting tickets and shared with all the little people.

A 4H Summer
Summer is over and I had lots of help this year with 4H! I am completely intimidated when I pull up to walk pigs and I see this gathering of horses. Good thing Grandma is there to chase them out of the field. When the pigs get out and the horses are nearby, they are one big tangled mess!
Livvy loves everything about being at the field. Every day Livvy would go and check on the kittens and pray that the coyotes didn't get them. Cohen struggles finding things he likes. But he does know that is where he needs to be and does his best...sometimes.
The kids love being there with their cousins and Mason is the perfect tag-a-long and usually ends up playing with the kittens. They follow him around and it is the cutest thing ever!
