A Very Merry BUSY Day (Part 1)!

YAY!! Christmas Came!! Jeremy woke us up at 6 a.m. so we would have time to open gifts and be ready by 9 a.m. church. Livvy pretty much rolled over and mumbled something like - wake me up when Mom gets up. Cohen was a little out of it but as soon as he realized it was Christmas his face lit up!

Jeremy read the Christmas Story from the bible and off we went to open gifts!

This year Coy believed in Santa more than any of my others. Cohen was just glad he didn't get coal. If at the mention that Coy would be on the naughty list he shaped up. It worked like a charm!! He got really upset when the kids teased him that he was on the naughty list. He always looked for the elf that visited us during Christmas and was good around her. (This year her name was Snowflake.)

The kids dug into their stockings first and Coy didn't understand that he got more than one thing in it. But once he realized it he just kept asking for more!

Scott was super happy about getting up with us. :) He was a trooper and spent all weekend with us. I am sure that is hard to miss out on your own family traditions. We look forward to many more mornings like this!! RIGHT, SCOTT????

Cohen was so busy running around I couldn't get any pictures of him!! He was super excited and loves Ice Age and collected all the beenie critters from the movie. This was the only one he was missing and Santa brought it. Life is good.

Santa made it for Scott and Beni too.

Despite Olivia's constant request for a horse, she didn't get one...But she did get mini horses to keep her busy!

It was a HAPPY Day when Coy opened his Mickey Mouse Clubhouse toy that he has been asking for since Nov!
He hurried but made it to church with all Jeremy's family. It was nice to be altogether. After church we went to Candice house for late breakfast and open Grandma and Grandpa gifts. They left us a bunch of clues to figure out what our Christmas gift will be.

We are staying in a great cabin with all the amenities! It will be sooo much fun and I can't wait!

Cohen: But it's not real, is it?
Mom: Well not a living tree but a family tree.
Cohen: I knew it wasn't real.

Mom: Livvy, I am watching a mommy show with Vampires can you go find something else to do?
Livvy: How are they vampires?
Mom: (pointing to the screen) He turns into a vampire.
Livvy: Does his mom know?

Cohen: Strawberry. I do NOT want another cavity!

Cohen: Mom, I think they should change Winnie the Pooh's name to Winnie the Bear because Pooh is like poo... and that's kinda sick.

Coy picked out a green tootsie roll for Cohen while Cohen was at preschool. Coy wanted to hold it for 3 hours while Cohen was gone. After an hour Coy took the wrapper off.
Coy: But I am not gonna eat it. It's Cohen's
30 minutes later... He flattened it into a pancake "for Cohen." BUT he still was not going to eat it.
30 minutes later... I caught him licking it. But he still said he wasn't going to eat it. Then he just shrugged his shoulders and said, "I'm just going to eat. We can get Cohen another one!"

Livvy: This girl at school told me I look like a movie star that should be on T.V.
Mom: Oh that's nice!
Livvy: The thing is sometimes when I look in the mirror, I think the same thing!

Dad: Sorry bud, when I came in you were already asleep.
Cohen: Well, can you sing me one right now?
Dad: No, I am too tired to sing. I will sing to you in the morning.

Livvy: I believe in Santa but I don't believe in Frosty the Snowman. But sometimes its just fun to pretend to believe.

Livvy: I've been thinking about a few things and I don't know if I believe in the elf. He doesn't look real. His legs and feet are not real. I think you or dad moves him every night. The only thing that makes me believe is that I can't figure out how he got here in the first place.

Cohen: WHAT?!? NO WAY (he runs to the mirror to check them out and comes back.) How come they are red?

Cohen: But your hair is black. How come your lashes are blond?
Mom: My roots are black. Go away! :)

Liv: I don't believe in fairies so how can there be a tooth fairy?
Mom: Well, if you don't believe in them, they won't come.

Livvy: Today Cohen got to pick out of the treat bag because he was so reverent in primary and wasn't talking and folding his arms. When I heard his name that he was going to get a treat I was so happy I started to cry!

Livvy: (in the sweetest voice) This one had MEAN dragons in it! It's a boy thing. You will love it!

Mom: Cohen is brave he will get it for you.

(They both go running off and a few minutes later Cohen came back...)

Cohen: Mom, I lost my Brave.

(P.S. The spider was TINY!!)

Dad: She said she asked you and you said she could and she was real excited about it so I didn't fight her on it.
Mom: Hmm, I don't remember that at all. I am sure I just agreed to whatever she was saying.

Livvy: Some people aren't married. They just like each other.
Mom: What do you mean?
Livvy: Like Stacy and Taylor. They aren't married. They can't have a kid because when they were moving it would be real annoying to have a baby.
