Christmas!!

It finally came! Christmas morning and the whole house was asleep. We have a tradition that all kids young and old crawl into Grandma and Grandpa's room to hear the Christmas story before we open presents. So at 6 am we got the kids up (and why do we wake them up??) and went in to listen. Our kids were the first in there and I was super surprised!! Usually the kids are begging for their parents to get up! Then onto the presents. Opening them with 28 other people is awesome and crazy.

Cohen still wasn't doing well and I kept thinking we were headed right back to the hospital but we took him to Kristi's house and gave him a breathing treatment. He was doing much better! I have heard the saying "you can only be as happy as your saddest child." I don't know who said it but it is true. After his breathing treatment Cohen put up his little finger and said, "I probably can open just ONE present!" He ooohed and ahhed at all his gifts. (Except Benita gave him a stuffed dog and as soon as he saw through the wrapping of what it was he threw it on the ground and said that wasn't his. Sorry B!) It was fun to focus on just Cohen with Jeremy.

Santa found McCoy

After presents we always have a breakfast of biscuits and gravy. After airing my dislike for such food on my blog I think it is important to note that Jed and Candice made biscuits and gravy AND french toast and bacon. (my favorite breakfast!!) I love you so much! Thank you for always being there and for all you do. (Jed...)
Olivia was back at Grandma's house holding on to her Zhu-zhu pets for dear life. She could hardly open anything else because they were in her hands. (If you don't know what a Zhu-Zhu pet is then either you don't have kids or SHAME ON YOU!) They were EXTREMELY hard to get ahold of and it took several trips to Walmart and TOYS R US in the middle of the night to come across them. Low and behold we found some !!! I kept slipping in front of Livvy talking about them and of course she picks up on it! I told her I couldn't find any and she hugged me and said "Don't worry mom, Santa said he had some in his workshop and I KNOW I will get one from him!" I had many people on the search for them and my mom found a ton for me in a small town in Arizona and Washington. So thank goodness for a free market--I sold them and made quite a lot of money to pay for Christmas!

The day was far from over because we packed ALL our stuff and barely fit into our car and headed up to my sister's house in Herriman for dinner with my family! My sister's house was beautiful and dinner was amazing! I love being with my dad and sister's for Christmas!
More cousins and more play = more grumpy kids and by the time we were headed home I was ready for bed. I love Christmas and can't wait to do it again next year! (but boy and I glad it's over this year!) Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight!

Isn't this what it's all about?
